2019 Japan Cherry Blossom Forecast: slightly earlier or same as usual

Today, I will introduce the cherry blossom forecast of 2019. It is now winter in Japan. However, in Tokyo, plum blossoms began to bloom first. I feel that spring is approaching gradually. Now, the Japanese are starting to feel excited, feeling spring is near. Cherry blossoms are expected to be a little earlier or the same as usual. Please also refer to the following articles for Japanese cherry blossoms.   Summary If you click on this image, the site of Japan Weather Association (in Japanese) will be displayed on a separate page According to the forecast released by the Japan Weather Association on February 7, the cherry blossoms will start flowering from Fukuoka and Kumamoto on March 19. It will flower in Nagasaki and Saga, Kochi on March 21, and Tokyo and Matsuyama on 22th. It will bloom in a wide range from west Japan to eastern Japan by the end of March. In Hokuriku, Nagano and Tohoku regions, there are many places to bloom from early April to mid-April. And on April 29th it will flower in Hakodate, Hokkaido. The forecast for each region announced by the Japan Weather Association is as follows. The cherry blossoms will be in full bloom in about a week after blooming. Kochi Prefecture! Best Attractions and Things to do

Kochi Prefecture is located on the south side of Shikoku Island. In this area there are pure rivers, wild capes, and beaches with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. In Japan, many young people are longing for this atmosphere and traveling in Kochi. If you go to Kochi, you surely will enjoy your trip. Outline of Kochi Map of Kochi Points A vast Shikoku mountain range spreads to the north side of Kochi prefecture. This prefecture is a mountainous area with 89% of the total area. The rivers flow from these mountains. Those rivers still leave the atmosphere of the Japanese river of the old age. On the southern side of the mountains there is a splendid Pacific Ocean. If you go to the cape, you can enjoy a very powerful scenery. In such an environment, the people of Kochi had thought about the foreign countries beyond the sea. The samurai of Kochi was very active in modernizing Japan by ending the era of the Tokugawa shogunate in the latter half of the 19th century. Ehime Prefecture! Best Attractions and Things to do

Ehime prefecture is a large area spreading northwest of Shikoku Island. Many old Japanese are left here. In Matsuyama City, the center of this area, you can enjoy bathing in an amazing hot spring facility. There is also Matsuyama castle where old wooden buildings remain in Matsuyama. Go south of this area, you can watch the wild mountains and the ocean. Outline of Ehime Map of Ehime Points Ehime Prefecture is situated in the northwestern portion of Shikoku. The climate is mild and warm, and it is rich in the nature. It is surrounded by Seto Inland Sea, and Shikoku Mountains Range. Ehime prefecture is divided into three areas. The eastern side is the temperate area facing the Seto Inland Sea. Here is the "Shimanemi Kaido" bridge connecting Okayama Prefecture on the other side of the Seto Inland Sea. A road for bicycles is maintained at this bridge. From this bridge you will be able to see the peaceful Seto Inland Sea. The central part of Ehime prefecture is the area centered around Matsuyama city. There are many famous sights such as Matsuyama castle and Dogo Onsen here. Kagawa Prefecture! Best Attractions and Things to do

Kagawa prefecture is located in the northeastern part of Shikoku Island. This Prefecture is bounded by Okayama Prefecture on the opposite bank across the Seto Inland Sea by the Seto Ohashi Bridge, 12,300 meters in length. So, you can feel free to go to this area. On the offshore islands of Kagawa prefecture there is a wonderful museum. And in Kagawa Prefecture there are many restaurants of delicious udon (thick Japanese noodles). Why do not you drop in here? Outline of Kagawa Map of Kagawa Geography and Climate Kagawa Prefecture is located in the northeastern part of Shikoku. This prefecture, together with Okayama Prefecture on the other side of the Seto Inland Sea, is easy to spend with a temperate climate. The Sanuki Plains stretch out into all the north, and all the Seto Inland Sea is dotted with 116 islands of any size, including Shodo shima Island. Major cities such as Takamatsu city are in the Sanuki Plain. In the southern part of the prefecture, mountains ranging in altitude of 1000 meters are connected. Tokushima Prefecture! Best Attractions and Things to do

Tokushima Prefecture is the closest area from Kansai region in Shikoku Island. Tokushima Prefecture is very famous for Awa Dance (Awa Odori) to be held in the summer. There are other attractions such as Naruto Whirlpools (Naruto Uzushio) and Otsuka Museum of Art. On this page, I will introduce the recommended sights etc. in Tokushima Prefecture. Outline of Tokushima Tokushima Prefecture Geography Tokushima Prefecture is located in the northeastern part of Japan's Shikoku Island. Except for the Tokushima Plain in the northern part of the prefecture, it is an area with many mountains. Especially, the Shikoku mountains located in the southern part of the Tokushima Plain are one of the most rugged mountainous areas in western Japan. Many rivers are flowing from these mountains. In Shikoku Island in western Japan, a steep and vast mountainous area spreads in the center. Divided by these mountains, there are four prefectures. Each of these prefectures is very individual.
